Anxiety disorders affect people at the physical, emotional, mental, and social levels. If you wish to eliminate anxiety disorder, you must address the issue at all levels. Addressing only the social or the emotional aspect and neglecting other aspects does not suffice. A human being is a complex network of systems, and each component of a human being is intimately connected to the others and has an important impact on them.
1. Make a Firm Decision
First, you need to decide, once and for all, that you want to be in absolute control of you life. A lot of people suffering from panic disorders suffer in silence because they think that this is how they are made and that nothing can be done to change this condition.
Second, when you have made a major decision to change, you need to develop the sufficient determination to stick to your decision and put in the necessary efforts.
2. Control Your Thoughts
One of the best ways to reduce panic attacks is thought control. It cannot be denied that a panic attack comes without warning and that there is no rational cause for them; however, there are several facts responsible for the anxiety that leads to a panic disorder.
For example, you may have unresolved problems in your domestic relationships, which could manifest as worry and negative thoughts. When you worry and think negatively, you internalize stress. You can avoid this internalizing of stress by taking stock of your thoughts and expressing yourself in a meaningful way.
Sometimes, the brain has certain chemical imbalances that can lead to panic attacks. Such a condition would require medical assisstance. In many cases, however, individuals can control and manage panic attacks.
3. Analyze Your Thoughts and Feelings
Another common way of eliminating anxiety disorders is to make an analysis of your feeling and thoughts about yourself. According to research, people who suffer from panic disorders also suffer from a low self-esteem, due to which they worry about trivial matters related to their social life. Studies have also shown that panic disorder is a direct result of bottling up emotions such as anger.
When you analyse your mental and emotional condition, you take the initial step toward mastering your condition. You then naturally learn to express yourself in meaningful ways instead of bottling up emotions.
Expressing yourself properly has a two-fold effect: first, when you express your feelings and thoughts confidently, your self-esteem enhances and second, you also effectively release the negativity that is making you anxious.
4. Relaxation Techniques
The practise of certain relaxation techniques is also a great method of getting rid of panic disorders. Do some breathing exercises to raise the oxygen level in your body. Relaxation techniques also calm down the body and mind.
Deep breathing exercises help reduce stress and unnecessary worry that lead to panic attacks. Yogic exercises are also extremely useful because they correct your breathing pattern and enhance general health.
If you wish to eliminate anxiety disorders, you have to learn how to interrupt them. This will help you control them, and in the long run, even prevent them. When you make a serious attempt to interrupt your panic attacks, you teach your body and mind to control the disorder.
When you are well on the way to controlling anxiety disorder, you will discover that you have calmed down your rapidly beating heart, corrected incorrect breathing patterns and learned to think positively.
