1. Always have a plan for the day. Make a list of everything you want to get done that day, ideally make it the evening before so you don't waste time the next day. Time goes so quickly and distractions waste you time too so unless you have a plan for the day so often you finish achieving nothing.

2.  Work for short periods of time during the day. It's very easy to work and work and you get more and more tired as the day goes on. It's much better to work for short periods and put everything into them than just slog on for hours and get mentally bored and tired. Find what works for you maybe try 45 minutes and a 5 minute break.

3. Get physical in those breaks. Hours and hours sat in front of the computer or doing bookwork rapidly brings on poor work performance. In your 5 minute break do a couple of exercises, stretches or deep breathing to reinvigorate your body and mind. The next period of work will be much more productive.

4. Smile as you work! As nuts as this sounds, if you are happy and upbeat, it is easier to get more work done than if you are depressed and morose. An upbeat attitude will have you feeling that you are enjoying work and better results will follow.

5. Complete all tasks fully. If anything is left on your daily to do list that you have not fully completed or needs more investigation, make sure it's the first thing to do the next day. It's too easy to forget it and start something new and different the next day and leave a handful of tasks half done.

Using these 5 easy techniques you will find it easier to achieve more each and every day and ultimately get more out of life whether it is more profit, more happiness or better relationships. Do not let it stop there though, more success is waiting for you round the corner.
