Acne has long been viewed as an ailment of the teenage years; but, today nearly eighty percent of adults experience some amount of facial blemishes. Dozens of skincare products promise to help clear your skin or prevent future breakouts, but one of the best ways to prevent flareups or clear your skin is to live a healthy lifestyle. Besides exercise and staying hydrated, many foods are full of nutrients that are good for your skin.

Acne that we see on our face or other parts of our body is due to internal problem in our body. Liver is an organ which is responsible for proper working of our digestive system. If our body makes excessive toxins then our liver is not able to deal with it. Problem of excessive toxin leads to skin problems like acne, pimples, zits, blackheads or whiteheads.

There are some specific foods that can help to clear and improve acne.

1. Always take salad along with your food. Salad is a good source of fiber and keeps you away from constipation which could lead to excessive toxin release.

2. A healing diet for acne consists of a minimum of eight glasses of water per day, as well as cleansing fresh fruit juices, namely apple, papaya, and pineapple. A cup of green tea each morning will also help the body eliminate toxins naturally. Eat a salad every day; green leafy vegetables contain blood purifying chlorophyll, fiber, and all of the necessary vitamins required in a healthy diet for oily skin

3. Zinc promotes a healthy immune system and skin health, so eating zinc-rich foods can help treat acne. Foods containing zinc include oysters and other seafood, red meat, wheat germ, eggs, pumpkin seeds and tofu. This is one of the best natural acne treatment .

4. Addiction to tea or coffee is also not good for acne. Try and avoid them. Refined sugar, carbohydrates and fried food. These foods give good platform for acne to flourish.

5. Sulphur helps your body keep your skin, nails and hair healthy, so eating foods that naturally contain sulphur can be good for preventing acne or clearing your skin. Foods containing sulphur include eggs, cabbage, beef, garlic, fish and dried beans.

Eating a variety of natural foods, with a focus on the types of food that are known to help cure acne, as well as getting enough fresh air, moderate exercise, and adequate sunlight, will strengthen and rejuvenate the body.
