Stress and Anxiety have become such a common problem these days. I often come across people who ask for my advice over ways that can help them cope with work stress and anxiety. This is the very reason why I decided to write this article- to help all those who regularly suffer from work stress and anxiety. I have described below seven ways how to cope with work stress and anxiety. Read on.

1. Most people do work that they don't find interesting. The result is they feel suffocated in the environment which seems alien to them. The inability to adjust and enjoy makes a person stressed and unhappy. So find a job or a career work that you find interesting and challenging this will help for work stress relief.

2. Stay close to people with whom you share some common interests. When you are around people whom you genuinely like, things become easy automatically. Even when at the work place, try and spend more time with people with whom you have a better rapport and try to maintain a distance from those who you find difficult to bear.

3. My next advice would be learning things that relieve you of your tension. If you like listening to music between works, try and incorporate a few minutes for a music break. Similarly, one can try other things that one enjoys. Take a small break after every few hours, this will help you to deal with stress more positively.

4. Try doing exercises in between the work. Take out five minutes after each schedule and devote it to stretching or other simple exercises that help you relieve your mind of all the work stress and anxiety.

5. Try to relax yourself by closing your eyes and taking your mind off all the work. Constantly looking at the computer screen will surely swell up your tension levels. So, take few minutes off the work and utilize them to give some rest to your eyes and mind. Just close your eyes and sleep ideally for a while.

6. You should also try to spend time in the gym after or before your work. This helps a lot to lay off the stress and feel better. Start eating healthy as this will contribute in your better health. Remember, a healthy body is where a healthy mind dwell, this will your body and mind to cope with stress. And when you have a healthy mind then you are more likely to perform better at work. And the better you perform at work the less you will be burdened by Work Stress.

7. Lastly, Take good sleep each day. Eight hours of sleep is must for people involved in strenuous mental work. If it includes physical work then you need at least nine hours. Do not slack on that part. No sleep or even less sleep will make you irritated and tired the next day.

Try and alter your personal attitude. Anxiety and stress are generally mental states and if one wishes to, one can modulate them on personal will. The above tips will give you a head start to cope with work stress and anxiety.
