How to Change Your Décor and Improve Your Health

Did you know you could change your décor and improve your health at the same time? It is an easy enough thing for anyone to do without breaking the bank to do it.

Many people live with the same décor for several years. Every few years they just give the woodwork a lick of paint when the color fades and put the same pictures back on the walls. Nothing changes. After a while, a dreary comfort zone is created and home life becomes mundane.

Change the whole décor of a room.

When you alter the décor in a room, the effect is uplifting. Changing the color is one quick and easy way to change the effect but an even greater way to improve a room is to add something unique as a focal point to the room.

A water fountain is a good example of a focal point especially a wall mounted water fountain. Wall fountains are relatively small in depth and do not encroach into the living space. They are available in different widths and heights and you can even have them custom built for that unique touch.

Fountains come in a variety of materials, colors, shapes and sizes. It is almost guaranteed that you will find a fountain to fit your needs. Some fountains are made from copper and marble, others have a mirrored backboard that further enhances the cascading waters.

Imagine hearing the gently soothing sounds of water cascading every time you enter the room or seeing the sparkling waters sliding down a marble backdrop and tumbling over polished stones. Water fountains really are a great focal point.

Water fountains help to improve breathing

Water fountains appeal to the eyes because they provide movement, they appease the ears with their soft sounds and they appeal to the nostrils because water fountains help to improve breathing.

Water movement generates negative ions. Do not be put off by the word negative. Negative in this case is actually very good for you. Negative ions attach themselves to dust particles in the air making them to heavy to remain airborne and so not breathed.

Water fountains induce relaxation. Constantly being in a room with a water fountain will reduce stress. Less stress means improved sleep habits and so the health cycle evolves. While not immediate, improvements in health can occur in a matter of days.
