• Are there any tricks?
On one occasion a German makeup artist said that when she was in a hurry to make someone up, she would apply the mascara before the eyeshadows. That might seem strange to us, but she did it because it inspired her quickly as to what kind of eyeshadows those particular eyes needed.
• Product variety
There are so many different mascaras, including those that lengthen, give volume, curl, etc.
For our personal use that’s great, since we can choose among many options, but we recommend one specific type to carry in your bag.
When we need to curl them, we should use an eyelash curler and when we want to give volume, we can apply two layers. If we want to increase the effect even more, we can add translucent powder. Do be careful, though, not to overload them.
We should comb the lashes with each application and if we want to thicken them; at Elite we always emphasize the lash line with black or brown eye pencil dotted between the lashes.
• What should I keep in mind?
Mascara is a limited-duration product of 3-6 months, so we recommend having one mascara of each color.
If you notice that it is drying out, don’t use anything to dilute it as this will only contaminate it and take away important properties. It’s better to replace it with a new one.
You have to be very careful in its use, avoiding getting air in the tube by taking the brush in and out too much.
It’s also important to use water-proof mascaras, particularly with brides or older people who tend to cry or have tears in their eyes.
If you only want to buy one type, the best option is water-proof.
