How To Achieve A Stress – free menopause

One of the greatest discomforts that women who enter menopause face is stress.
Stress results from lower levels of progesterone production during menopause. This tend to drive low the desire for sex in a woman and equally make the mood go from happy to sad and all these generally build up to  stress.
Add to causes of stress as stated above is sleep disturbances. However practical steps could be taken using  a change in lifestyle and such steps are:-

(1)    Return to eating the natural way.  Fresh fruits and vegetables are a great diet. Packed with antioxidants that prevent the wearing of cells by free radicals.

(2)    Fat must not be eradicated from your diet but you can choose healthy oils in place of unhealthy fat bearing in mind that fats and oil are a great source of energy.  This helps you to beat fatigue a common symptom of menopause that aids in stress build up.

(3)    Eat early before you go to bed. Some admonish eating at least four hours before going to sleep. This helps you to fight sleeplessness associated with menopause. When you get a good sleep, stress in one way is prevented.

(4)    Food that contain caffeine especially coffee drinks should be struck off from your diet.

(5)    Avoid too much exercise as this is another way to add stress to your life. Moderate exercise is recommended.

(6)    Hormonal Replacement Therapy might be considered knowing that the culprit in menopausal discomforts is a hormone called progesterone.  So trying to find an alternative means of replacing it in the body helps most women but you must talk to your doctor about it.

(7)    In place of hormone replacement therapy, you may choose to use natural remedies because they offer reduced risk.
