Are you set? Summer wardrobe? Check. Summer shoes? Check. Summer makeup? Check.

Summer skin? Uh-oh? If you have a few blemishes or bumps don't dismay, there's still time to have wonderful skin before July 4th.

Vitamin A – Helps your skin cells to work properly, so that you can have smooth clear skin. Many of us don't get enough of it in our diet. You can take these in supplement format , or you can up your intake of certain foods like carrots.

Vitamin D-3 – You might have started to hear more about this Vitamin lately, as the main stream media has started hearing the buzz from natural health professionals. Vitamin D-3 can not only help your body ward off the flu, but it's also good for your skin. Yes you do absorb Vitamin D from the sun, but you wouldn't want to stay out in the sun for the amount of time it would take to get what you needed. Try Cod Liver fish oil or a vitamin instead.

Bentonite – Bentonite made for internal use such as the one found here (link ?ie=UTF8&tag=wwwsteampunkr-20&link_code=as3&camp=211189&creative=373489&creativeASIN=B00016XI7A), can help rid your body of heavy metals and toxins, often times clearing the skin. Mixing it up in your favorite home made veggie or fruit smoothy can do just the trick.

Bentonite can also be bought as a clay, or a powder that can be wet and mixed. You can than apply it topically, let it dry and than rinse it off. In a similar vein as the liquid form, it can help pull out impurities a cleanse your skin

Vitamin E – This is a long time favorite of many, topically Vitamin E can help fade scars. Ingested it can help you skin become and stay pretty.

Limit your sugar, sugar substitute and chemical intake. For a couple of weeks, try not having any candy with processed sugar, sucralose, splenda or the link. Sugar has been linked to causing break outs, and often time the chemicals in the substitutes aren't too good for our skin either. This Red Dress lover prefers Stevia herself, but often times finds that no sweets isn't really all that bad. If you're really craving something sugar, get it naturally from a few organic grapes or strawberries.

What are your great skin suggestions?
