“ My ex has a new boyfriend but I still love her and want her back.” That’s a strong statement, isn’t it? It’s also one that many men say each and every day after losing the woman they love. Seeing her with a new guy is heartbreaking and it’s a continual reminder of what you lost. Most people will tell you that you just need to move on and wish her happiness with the new guy. You know that’s almost impossible to do if you feel inside that she’s the one and only girl for you. If you’re not quite ready to let her go and you are ready to do what you need to do to get her back, there’s advice you’ve got to follow. If your ex already has a new boyfriend you’ve got to accept it, at least for now. Loving a woman who is involved with another man isn’t easy. Emotions are running high and in most cases, you’re going to let those emotions determine your actions. That’s a huge mistake. Most men, when confronted with the news that their ex is dating someone new will immediately start verbally bashing him. Even if they’ve never met him they’ll criticize him to her. Doing this is going to destroy any chances you have to get her back. Whenever the urge strikes you to talk badly about him to her, resist it. Don’t do it because you’ll eventually regret it. What you have to do to steal her back from him is become her platonic friend. This probably doesn’t sound like a great idea, but it actually is. What you need to do in order to regain her trust and love is show her that you can be a supportive, non threatening presence in her life. You can accomplish this by talking to her occasionally and only asking general questions about her life. Don’t be too nosy about her new relationship but make sure she knows that you’re there if she needs someone to talk to. You also want to ensure she is a little unsure about your dating status so if she questions you about who you’re seeing, be vague. If you can show her that you’ll always be there for her, she’ll start to feel closer to you again and once the new relationship ends, you’ll be right there waiting to help her get through it.
