As a practitioner of mental magic I enjoy a good card trick as much as the next guy, but a true mental magician can really get the crowd going. Practical mind magic is becoming more popular than the latest illusions of the grand stage.
When I'm out on the street most people don't ask me about the latest coin trick, they want me to play with their minds. They are more interested in my mental trickery, then they are of me doing a physical illusion. This is why I encourage any young man or woman to start learning the skills of mentalism and to become a famous mentalist. There is something quite magical to a crowd if I'm able to psychically reveal something that I should not know about them or to uncover something very personal to an audience member. Mentalism is a very personal type of magic to me, that directly connects me to an audience member on a deep emotional level very quickly and I find that to be very pleasurable.
I enjoy doing illusions and I like twisting reality whenever possible, but there is nothing better than a good mental magic trick. Imagine the crowds faces when you reveal something of a personal nature, that only they could know and you will see human beings that are completely stunned! My question to you, is do you want to experience mentalism on a much deeper level and touch your audience mentally, without ever touching them physically?
I had a wise man once say to me a long time ago when I was younger, that the answers I was seeking have been in front of me the whole time. Back then I had no clue what he was talking about, because I was seeking outside, but not looking within. The better you understand your mind, the better you will begin to understand others. Without understanding the barriers that you have in your mind, you will not be able to understand the barriers that others have.
It's so easy to forget about what other people desire and want out of life, because you can become so focused on what you want out of life instead. Focusing on yourself may not be a bad thing, but in life you need to have balance and as a successful mentalist, you need to go into the deepest recesses of your mind. You need to access your subconscious, which may be done through hypnosis. At one time, I could not see things as clearly as I do now, because there were thoughts that were stopping me from progressing forward.
There are many different types of hypnosis and it's up to you to choose the one that is going to free your mind to be able to do real mental magic. If you are to become the ultimate mental magician, you must take that journey of inner discovery, much like being in an Indian sweat tent, where you can find yourself. I know that this may sound a little out there, but it's all about getting inside your head, so that you can get deep inside theirs.
Some people are afraid of self-discovery and self-evaluation, but what are they really afraid of and what are they running from? You certainly can't run from yourself, because wherever you go, you'll be right there!
