While reading the book,"Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, i was drawn to the story of the young Preacher from the stockyards of Chicago,Illinois, Dr. Frank W. Gunsaulus. He went from being a mere thinker for 2 plus years to a man of action. He had a dream of heading an Educational Institution 'where young people would learn to do practical things and at the same time develop their minds. The big catch he needed a million dollars to see this dream become a reality. So for 2 plus years he thought about it before he went to bed and during his working hours this became like a consuming passion. The turning point in this young Preacher's life is when he took mere thinking into action. This gave me goose pimples as i read his own words as shared by Mr. Napoleon Hill. You see one saturday morning Dr. Gunsaulus reached a definite decision to get this million dollars within a specified time,1 week from that memorable saturday," A strange feeling of assurance came over me, such as i had never before experienced. Something inside me seemed to say,'why didn't you reach that decision a long time ago? the money was waiting for you all the time'. Dr.Gunsaulus then called the newspaper and announced 'I would preach a sermon the following morning, entitled,"What I Would Do If I Had a Million Dollars".He recieved the Million Dollars because someone was impressed by his sermon and believed that he would do everything he said he would do in his sermon. What he couldn't accomplish in 2 plus years, he did in less than 36 hours!.
