One of many major contributing factors of the development of anxiety disorders is accumulative stress over a period of long time. When you are constantly stressed for many months and years at a time, without finding a way to release it, it can be very rough in your nervous system and emotions. If you don't make the time to relax or take care of the stress it may persist. Brief stresses like moving to a different house, holiday seasons, divorce, a new child, problems with the wife or even financial difficulties, can set in motion psychological conflicts that may last several years. Let's be honest here everybody experiences these kinds of stressing events, but while these kinds of events might be common and even normal once a year it is very manageable, but if one experiences a series of these events over a short period of time it can lead you to great emotional distress and ultimately anxiety and depression. Studies from many years ago have proven that stress is a contributing factor to physical conditions such as high blood pressure, headaches, and ulcers. Stress can lead to psychological conditions such as mood swings, generalized anxiety and even panic attacks. Some of these conditions might begin to take effect in your early twenties and persist all throughout your thirties most of the time. What can we do to prevent today's modern world from stressing us out of our minds? the answer is simple find some time to relax, exercise, talk with a friend or get a hobby that you enjoy.
