Hormonal imbalance is a reason behind acne problems. Due to hormonal imbalance generally teenage and adolescent people suffer from acne.

Acne is often treated by dermatologists, (skin doctors). The goals of treatment are to heal existing lesions, stop new lesions from forming, prevent scarring, and minimize the psychological stress and embarrassment caused by this disease. Acne scars form from the way your skin cells respond to the inflammation of active acne. Some scars are created from an overgrowth of skin tissue.

However, in choosing the best birth control pill for acne, women must not forget to consult a physician as some brands may not be ideal for their condition. Women who have endometriosis tend to have less pelvic pain and fewer other symptoms when they are on the Pill. Birth control pills won't cure endometriosis but it may stop the disease from progressing.

Women using the patch wear a new patch each week for three weeks. On the fourth week, no patch is used and the woman's menstrual period will begin. Women with other risk factors for heart disease, such as those with high blood pressure or who are obese are also at higher risk when on the Pill.

You must first consult a dermatologist before starting to use birth control pills for treating acne. Oral contraceptives reduce the amount of androgen that is available. Just how this works depends on the specific hormone combination in a particular oral contraceptive. Oral contraceptives can do all three of these actions. All oral contraceptives are anti-androgenic.

Ortho Tri-Cyclen may cause dark skin patches on your face. Exposure to the sun may make these patches darker. Ortho Evra is a combination trans-dermal contraceptive applied to the skin in the form of an adhesive patch. It was marketed as a convenient alternative to birth control pills.

Direct sunlight or high heat can increase, then lower, the amount of hormone released from a patch. This can give you a big dose at the time and leave less hormones for the patch to release later in the week.

Different acne birth control pills are there in the market. But be sure to consult your doctor before starting with any of the regime, because only a doctor can assess the positive influences versus negative side effects.
