You need not go on living in fear of failure anymore. The affects of dyslexia are crippling but they can be overcome with patience and dedication. Dyslexia is a learning disability which causes a person to have moderate to severe problems understanding language. Since language is "the" most critical tool of communication, this disability affects ends up affecting the person's entire life. However with the right adult dyslexia test you can easily overcome your problems and go on to live a happy and successful life. What most people almost never realize is that dyslexia is a double edged sword which has benefits to offer along with its problems. People suffering with dyslexia often exhibit a powerfully creative and intuitive mind; they become the very definition of "out of the box" thinking; they are divergent and multilateral thinkers who can come up with many answers to a problem instead of one right one. Clearly people with such intelligence cannot be mentally handicapped as they are so often identified as. In fact it is now known that most people suffering with dyslexia actually have average to above average intelligence. In this case, if you are suffering with dyslexia all you will need to do is to develop compensatory strategies which can help you overcome the bad effects of dyslexia, while embracing your strengths. If you are an adult then you will have to take an adult dyslexia test which can ascertain both the nature of your disability and also the extent to which it has affected you. After this you can seek professional help to overcome your problem. Remember that there are many learning disabilities such as ADD, ADHD, dyscalculia, dyspraxia etc which have symptoms resembling dyslexia so you will need to make sure which learning disability you have.
