When it comes to innovation, pot smokers can be right up there with Alexander Graham Bell after an evening on the weed. It's only a short step from bulldust to brilliance and many a great invention can evolve out of a hallucinogenic revelation. So, apart from the obvious, what alternative uses do you think a room full of chilled-out pot heads would come up with for their marijuana seeds?

Musical Marijuana

A simple and creative use for using spare marijuana seeds could be to make some seed pod maracas. Imagine how much sweeter your rhythm will sound as all those lovely marijuana seeds shake their booties inside your mellow music makers. If you are feeling super-chilled, why not create a melodic sounding rain stick with an empty tube and a bunch of seeds – guaranteed to relax you.

Art for Art's Sake

You know how it is when you're creating art: it can be so frustrating when you just can't find that perfect shade of greeny-brown. How about using marijuana seeds to create a collage which gives not only a great texture, but a lovely aroma as well! Modern art is all about found objects and improvisation and what could be more original than a marijuana seed portrait of Bob Marley, King of the Stoners himself.

Medical Marijuana – But Not as we Know it

Heat packs can be a great source of release for tired and aching muscles or arthritic joints. But instead of the normal wheat or chemical filling, how about some great heat packs made of marijuana seeds? Imagine the lovely waft of weed as you heat up your pack in the microwave and place it on the back of your neck and drift off to sleep – bliss.

An Unusual Spice

We've all tried adding a little spice to our cooking at some stage, but have you ever really considered just how versatile the humble marijuana seed can be? You can add them to pretty much any recipe for a little extra zing and they make a great snack on their own as well. If you are a little tentative there are plenty of places on the Internet where you can find some very imaginative recipes.

Accessorize, Accessorize, Accessorize

People have been adorning themselves with jewellery since the dawn of time. Each culture has their own distinct and creative ways in which to express themselves through their clothing and adornment. So why shouldn't the pot head culture have their own signature style as well? Try making some threaded marijuana seeds bracelets and necklaces – they are easy to work with and attractive looking as well. If you use a little imagination and some hard-wearing glue you can even add some earrings or a ring to your collection.

Pot Pourri

Why don't more people use their marijuana seeds as the ultimate air-freshener? Find an attractive terracotta dish or bowl and intersperse your traditional rose and lavender pot pourri with some genuine pot! You can experiment with different scent combinations until you develop your very own signature smell, and nobody will quite be able to put their finger on the mystery ingredient.
