If you are interested on dental implants, then this brief article might be highly informative. In the following sections, I will be outlining some standard types of dental implant cases that are often seen in many clinics in this country. Some of the readers might be wondering - why is he penning down the types of cases that are commonly seen in clinics? It is to help those, who are relatively new to the niche and who would like to go ahead with their decision to implant "something" on their mouth. Now, does that sound cool?

The dentists are known to classify dental implant cases into two - those who have completely lost all their teeth and those who have lost only a few of their teeth. According to the situation in hand, the dentist will suggest suitable remedial measures. Once the situation faced by the patient is classified appropriately, the dentist and the patient will engage in long discussions to determine the nature of treatment. The treatment program must be conducted in such a manner that it does not hamper the productivity of the patient. He or she must be able to attend school or work as usual.

The situation is complicated when the patient has lost the teeth completely on the lower or upper jaw. Once the dental implant case has been classified and before commencing the treatment program, the dentist will look into the underlying bone structure of the jaw. If it is healthy, the dentist will be able to impregnate it with suitable dental implants. Otherwise, he will need to act in an ulterior manner and choose another treatment paradigm for the patient. Usually people who are suffering from old age lose their teeth completely on the lower and upper jaws. Their jawbones must be tested for rigidity; else the treatment procedure will fail.

Before placing the dental implant, the dentist will have to take x-ray photography of the underlying blood vessels and nerve cells (of the jaw). Puncturing the wrong blood vessel or nerve cell is not recommended because it will lead to further other complications. The patient might lose the ability to close or open his mouth if the process is done in an improper manner. In order to avoid the ramifications, dentists are often noted to plant the implant towards the middle of the jawbones. They even exercise discretion while choosing the upper and the lower jaw.

Sometimes the patient might be missing a tooth. In such situations, the dentist is noted to place the implant in between two teeth and finally fix the artificial replacement tooth. Bear in mind that this is a rough low down of the various types of dental implant cases. These two cases are in turn divided into a number of smaller cases - listing all of them and explaining the remedial measures is beyond the scope of this article. You have to realize that there are no complexities associated with this niche and an experienced dentist will be able to conduct the procedure swiftly as well as efficiently.
