Anabolic Steroid Cycle Info while training is a big concern among bodybuilders, and should always be taken very seriously. This is what Benjamin had to

say about the matter...

Hey Mick,

I recently purchased your Layman’s Guides to Steroids 1 & 2 and have noticed that the volume of training that you recommend is relatively large,

especially considering the fact that you recommend it being done in less than 20 minutes for the full-body workout.

I have previously achieved pretty decent gains naturally using a far lower volume split body part system that emphasizes low reps (5-7 range), low number

of sets (2 per exercise) heavy weight and training to failure every set - managed to gain about 15-20lbs of lean mass on this system in about 4 months?

Just wanted to ask, is a low volume high weight system like this particularly inadvisable once you get on the gear, like does training on gear tend to

favor certain styles of training. I find that, having experimented with the usual 3×10 or 3×12 set and rep system, that my body seems to pack it on much

better on the 2 x 5-7 style.

Just wanted to know if I should stick to that or change it if I get on gear. Also, regarding the 8 week cycles that you recommend in your Layman’s guides

2 - is it advisable to extend this cycle to say 12 weeks, and how would one do so in that case - would one extend the time on peak steroid dose or extend

the time taken to pyramid up to peak dose, for example.

Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,

Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,

I don’t think I’ve ever suggested a full body being done in 20 mins simply because I could never do that myself to be honest.

As for the reps and volume, I always prefer volume with quality execution but having said all that if you find a system that works for you so well do not

change it - best rule is if its not broken don’t change it.

Introducing the gear will lower your recovery times I feel, so make this transition a slow and gradual one.

12 week? Yes, if you do extend it to this time period increasing the peak period would be the way I would go indeed.

Train hard and be strong,

Mick Hart.
