If you've been thinking about how to get a cleaner, healthier smile, maybe your dentist will tell you the same thing he told me. Try a sonic care toothbrush. It's a great way to quickly (it only takes 2 minutes and it has a built-in timer) remove stains and plaque from your tooth enamel.

Of course, everyone knows you're supposed to take care of your teeth and see a dentist regularly. With all the interest in cosmetic dentistry and tooth whitening these days, it seems like some of us have forgotten that it's vital to keep the teeth and gums healthy if we want them to look good.

When I talked to my dentist, he recommended that I brush two times a day and floss once a day. He also said I should get fluoride on my teeth. For me, fluoride is in the water where I live. But if you drink a lot of bottled water or live in an area where the water is not fluoridated (well water isn't for example) then you should consider using a fluoride mouth wash like Act.

I wasn't sure whether the whole "sonic toothbrush" thing was a scam or the real deal. I asked my dentist and he said that he felt that the sound waves emitted by the sonic toothbrush head while you are brushing definitely made a difference in terms of getting your teeth whiter and cleaner. The ultimate proof - he said he used one himself. He recommended the Sonicare toothbrush, although I see that Oral B has a sonic toothbrush out now, too. I imagine it's good, but I haven't tried the Oral B Sonic Complete, so I can't comment on it, personally.

When you brush and floss regularly, you're going to help ward off all sorts of nasty dental problems. You should never experience pain or bleeding when you floss or brush, once you start doing it on a regular basis.

In addition to home care, it's a good idea to go in and see the dentist every 6 months or so. With their tools they can get your teeth cleaner than you can at home. They can also look for problems that are cropping up (tooth grinding wearing away your enamel, or the incipient stages of a cavity) and catch little problems before they become big problems.

And here's another big bonus. When you keep your teeth healthy, it's likely the rest of you will be healthier, too. Healthy teeth and gums are linked to fewer incidents of heart attack and stroke!

Eating sweets only with main meals and not between meals would neutralize almost all of the acids and wouldn't cause much damage to teeth surface. Milk and water must be replaced by sweet, acidic drinks.

Sonic care toothbrushes are the perfect tool for getting your teeth and gums healthy. They don't put too much pressure on the brush, damaging your gums. They just offer a light ticking sensation and a vibrating buzzing toothbrush head that does a crazy-good job at cleaning your teeth.

It's everything you need to keep your teeth looking good and feeling healthy!
