Aciphex is a medication that is classified into the family of drugs called the proton pump inhibitors and the main component of this medicine is rabeprazole. It is most commonly used to treat ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease the short form of which is GERD and erosion of the esophagus, named Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This medication is said to lower the production of acid in the stomach. Normally Aciphex can be taken along with antibiotics so as to stop the formation of gastric ulcers that are caused by the infection brought on by the bacteria called the helicobacter or H pylori.

Other than these symptoms this medicine can also be used to treat certain other diseases that are not officially listed in the medical guide depending on how the doctor finds it necessary.

It is important to see that you do not take Aciphex if you are in any way allergic to any of the ingredients contained it the medicine like rabeprazole, or any other medicines like lansoprazole, esomeprazole omeporazole etc. Though Aciphex has not been found to be harmful to the fetus discuss with the doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant when you have been prescribed the medication.

By and large Aciphex is quite well tolerated by most patients but side effects if any, of this medicine are headaches and loose motions. Generally these side effects go off within a couple of days of starting the medicine, but be sure to talk to the doctor if you are bogged down by these side effects.

Normally you are started off on a dose of 20mg of Aciphex once daily for about four to eight weeks and if there is no significant improvement then it is prescribed for another eight weeks. In general you should see a change in your condition in a matter or of first four to eight weeks itself, but ensure that you take the medication regularly as directed by your physician for the best results.

Aciphex is a well known drug and at the same time it is widely considered as the best option for most of the strange diseases that you might come along. It is always advised to buy these drugs at CanAmerica Global , as you can save a lot of time and money.
