Trying to attain a inner peace in this very stressful and crazy world can be a challenge. But it can be done. The path to enlightenment can be very spiritual. Serenity and a calmness come from developing inner peace. Inner peace means to be spiritually, at peace with one's self. The more you can develop the strength of one's spirit, the more one can face stress and negativity and still come out with a smile. This can be extremely challenging at times. Stressful times can be family or money related. But most folks find stress at the workplace. You can be working with a bunch of very negative co-workers. Or someone is driving a knife in your back and you find out later about it. The purpose of this article is finding inner peace in the workplace. Below is a list of peace destroyers:
*Working with a negative co-worker or workers. Not only are they negative, but can also be very devious. There are days you would like to use duct tape and wrap it around their mouth. But it would make it hard for this person to answer the office phone. You can try quoting this "Starting a quarrel is like opening a flood gate, so stop before the argument gets out of control¦whoever loves sin loves a quarrel" to the negative person. Dealing with this kind of person on the daily basis can be very hard on building inner peace. You have to build a wall of soul armor to keep out the bad vibes. Try tuning out this person(s) except when it is really related to the job. Which is about 2% of the time.
*You worked hard to get a promotion. You finally get the job title but they forget to mention there is no pay raise with it this time. So now you are doing your old job plus a new one on top of it at the same pay rate. Now you are holding a grudge. Keeping a grudge inside can really destroy inner peace. You will find yourself waking up at night just mad from the experience and cannot get back to sleep. The answer is simple but yet extremely hard. Forgiveness. A tough person has a lot of strength to fight, but the strongest person can forgive.
*Another co-worker gets a job promotion but they give them a healthy pay raise plus a corner office maybe even a company car. Now you are jealous. Jealousy wears you down inside. And think about it this way. Does it really pay to be jealous. No. The other worker will still be driving around in the company car and wearing a fancy suit that they bought with the pay raise. Count your blessings and be happy. Forget about them it is not worth it.
*Forget about bad experiences from the past. Only look at the present. The world keeps on turning all the time and so should you. If you keep this fresh approach maybe the boss will notice and give you that raise.
*Learn how to deal with irritations, and situations. Patients is a virtue. Also a good way to deal with this is a small few minute break to clear the garbage out of the mind. Get away from everybody and all distractions. Don't think. Don't do anything but release all of the things that built up during the workday. This is a start to a meditation practice.
The irony is that the more strength and toughness you develop to seek inner peace, the more mellow and peaceful you will become.
Shine on peace seeker.
We are all related under one sky and one earth.
And known as the human race.
Much peace and happiness to you.
