The key ingredient of Avandia is Rosiglitazone. This medication is mainly prescribed to those who suffer from diabetes. It is prescribed only those who have type2 diabetes (non-insulin dependent). It may be suggested to be used with other medications to cure other problems. This drug works by controlling the blood sugar and makes the patient respond more to insulin. It is recommended not to be used by those who have type1 diabetes or ketoacidosis.
