Azoospermia is the medical state and condition of a male not having any measurable level of sperm in his semen. It is connected and related with very low levels of fertility. When there are no sperms in the semen then the condition is known as "azoospermia".
Sperm count indicates the fertilizing capacity and when the sperm count is below normal (low sperm count) the condition is called as "oligospermia".
Semen is a white or gray colored liquid. It comes out of the urethra (a tube in male organ through which urine get flows out of urinary bladder) on ejaculation during the over peak of orgasm.
Quantity of semen:
The normal quantity of semen will be just 2- 5 ml. Each ml of semen consists of millions of sperms and the fluid portion of semen is called seminal plasma. Semen acts as a vehicle to carry the spermatozoa or sperms.
The quantity of ejaculated semen will be more when there is an extended abstinence. The quantity of semen will be then less when there are very frequent ejaculations. If the quantity of semen is less than the 1.5 ml constantly then the condition is called as hypospermia. If the quantity of sperm is more than 6ml constantly then the condition is exactly known as hyperspermia.
Color of semen: The normal semen is grey or white in color. If the color of semen is yellowish or red or pink, it suggests that the presence of some pathology in urinogenital system. Hence men with the red or yellowish semen should immediately seek the advice of family physician.
Semen clotting and liquefaction time:
Semen clots goes by immediately after ejaculation. It will liquefy in again in 5 - 40 minutes. When semen fails to clot and liquefy after, then it indicates fertility problems.
Sperm Count: At least there must be a 20 million sperms per ml of semen. The total number of sperms should be just at least 40 million. 75% of the sperms should be alive. 30% of sperms should be in of normal shape and form. 25% of sperms should swim rapidly with forward movement.
Causes for low sperm count:
a) Infected semen
b) Heat? (Heat reduces total sperm production. Hence tight underpants, bathing into very hot water, sitting for long hours, over weight in which fat layers sag on testicles reduce sperm count)
c) Very frequent semen ejaculations also lead to the lowered sperm count and man may become effectively infertile. Hence by maintaining a gap of 3 days between two consecutive ejaculations keeps a man more fertile.
d) Smoking.
e) Excessive intake of alcohol.
f) Over exertion physically and mentally
g) Varicocele.
h) Hydrocele
i) Infections present in prostate gland.
j) Malformed genital organs.
k) Toxic pollutants
l) Zinc deficiency
m) Anabolic steroid use

a. Refrain from the habits like smoking, alcohol consumption etc.
b. Regular practice of YOGA and MEDITATION, Keep your mind and body.
c. Exercise regularly.
d. Maintain 3 day gaps between the two consecutive ejaculations.

f. Add recipes contain urad dal.
g. Add little ghee to food.
