Acne can appear anywhere on the body, including the back area. Although it is not as common as facial acne, back acne can be much more aggressive at times. This is why people need to know all about treating back acne so they don't have to live with its torturous effects. Whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, pustules, congested pores or cysts...back acne can manifest in any of these forms, Back acne treatment is very important. The skin on our back is thicker than anywhere else in the body, so back acne is more stubborn than facial acne and is more resistant to treatment.

Back acne can have many causes, the most common of which include the over production of oils in your skin, and constant contact with clothing. Back acne can appear on your skin even if your face and chest are not affected. Back acne is common among athletes, and it can sometimes be referred to as athletic acne. So if you are working up a sweat during exercise, make sure you wash your back immediately after you've finished and always change out of your sweaty shirt.

We commonly hear the question, how do I get rid of acne on my back? At healthy skin guide we are working full time to find you the best acne back cure. Treating back acne that is mild can be accomplished with any of the following methods:

1. After bathing, it is also a good idea to apply gels or lotions containing benzoyl peroxide. The main factor with applying these treatments is ensuring that the skin is thoroughly dry before it is applied, and the product is allowed to dry fully before you put clothes on.

2. When washing your back use a loofah, sponge or exfoliant to help remove any dead skin cells that may clog up pores. Do this on a daily basis, as the more often you get rid of dead skin cells, the less likely you are to develop zits. Use a gentle action and don't be too harsh otherwise you will end up breaking the skin.

3. Tea Tree Oil. Studies have shown that it has exceptional healing powers due to its anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-septic actions. It is one of few healing oils which can be used without irritating or drying the skin. If using tea tree oil, it must be diluted in water before application, which is easily done by pouring 10 drops of tea tree oil onto a cotton pad and drizzling 1 tsp. of water onto it. Tea tree oil can be used up to three times per day. This is one of the best natural acne treatment .

4. To prevent further breakouts to your back, try to avoid wearing tight-fitting clothing that could cause the pores of your back to become clogged.
