Ever wondered how come your eye bags are more prone to wrinkles compared to skin on other parts of your body? This is because the delicate tissue surrounding the eye has no oil glands whatsoever. The oil produced from these glands are essential to keeping your skin moist and supple, hence this area around the eyes need to be taken extra care off.

As you age, you tend to expose your eyes too damaging UV rays from the sun, the skin becomes even more sensitive and thin, causing wrinkles to pop out more easily. However, there are a few things you can do to protect this delicate skin tissue.

Having a healthy tan might look good now, but it really accelerates the aging process. Sure, some sun is good but always protect your skin by using a good quality and high factor sunscreen. Remember to reapply sunscreen every two hours or so, and stick to a 30 SPF sunblock.

Now, the skin around your eyes is so delicate, so it is recommended that you wear a pair of sunglasses whenever you're exposed to strong sunlight. A high quality pair of sunglasses with UV reflecting lenses should always be worn. Stay away from the cheap stuff as they do not work very well and may damage your eyes in the process.

Rosehip oil is one of nature's best anti-wrinkle fighters. Many women have seen vast improvements when using it to combat wrinkles. Try adding a few drops of Rosehip oil around your eye area before you sleep at nights. This will help to keep the skin moist as well as protected , and it's especially good if you live in dry climate locations.

Always remember, always stick to natural products whenever you can. This is especially true if you're dealing with the skin around your eyes. Always use a light dabbing motion when applying any creams or products. Never ever tug or pull, or even rub vigorously around this area. This will help to prevent premature aging and damage to the skin and will help to keep you looking young, always.
