The female reproductive system is a very sensitive part of the female body. A simple change in the way our body acts could either increase or decrease the productivity of the ovaries. More often than not it is a negative change. However, there are times when getting pregnant can be achieved easily. Depending on the time, date and condition, you can get conceive a baby. So, what are the best days to get pregnant?

Most of you have probably read that the best days to get pregnant are the days when you are ovulating. If you keep an ovulating calendar, then you would know that it is between the 12th and 18th day after the 1st day of your menstrual cycle. However, most women feel that keeping an ovulating calendar is hard work. Well, that's no problem because most experts would say that on the average, the best days to get pregnant are the 14th to the 16th day after you get your period.

You would probably ask, "What if I don't get a regular period? How can I determine when the best days to get pregnant are?" First of all, when you don't get regular periods, you probably have Amenorrhea. It is a disease that causes your menstrual cycle to change from month to month. Sometimes, it can even stop your period completely. It would be best to set up an appointment with a doctor to get yourself checked. Hopefully, they can diagnose the problem correctly and give you the best course of action to get a conception.

There are other ways to tell whether you are ovulating or not, even without a calendar. First, listen carefully to your body. When your body is ovulating, it sends signals like lower abdominal cramps and twinges of pain. When you feel these symptoms, the egg in your body is being released from the ovaries. You can also check whether you are ovulating or not through your body temperature or the cervical mucus that comes out of your vagina.

However, if you don't want to check your body temperature or your cervical mucus just to determine the best days to get pregnant, then you can always buy an Ovulation Predictor Kit or OPK. This kit will test the amount of luteinizing hormone or estrogen in your body. The level of these 2 hormones often peak before ovulation which will tell you 12-24 hours in advance if you will ovulate.
