Home dermabrasion kits have become a very popular item. They are advertised in magazines, newspapers, Internet and television. Most celebrities are either singing its praises or endorsing them. The Neutrogena home kit removed the top layer of skin in order to remove all of the dead skin cells and to help new skin cells to grow. This process will make the complexion smooth and bright. The makers of the Neutrogena microdermabrasion system claim that their home kit will do everything that a professional treatment will do. However, the kit will have to be used many times in order to get the same results that two professional treatments would get you. The average times used would be eleven to two. But when you take into consideration the time and costs of the professional treatment then this is not a lot of time. There were some control group tests done by dermatologists in order to see how well the Neutrogena home microdermabrasion kits work. They were surprised at the results of those tests. After just on treatment those taking part in the test showed a brighter and smoother skin. After using the Neutrogena microdermabrasion system for five or six days the skin was smoother and brighter visibly and the face had an improved radiance. However, if you have inflamed acne, rosacea or broken skin you should not use any microdermabrasion kit as the use of the kit will exacerbate the condition. If you have any of the problems mentioned there are other treatments that can be had from a dermatologist. These are conditions that can only be helped by a professional because the conditions cause the skin to be more fragile and require a gentler treatment.
