Experiencing boredom and loneliness after divorce is common. That is because you are not accustomed after living with your partner for long time. But you must adjust yourself and overcome these boredom and loneliness. Boredom is generally a form of emotional anesthesia. It’s also a form of mental laziness which keeps people from changing and growing. People are responsible for their own boredom. Boredom is a bad state of mind which can breed more boredom. As a matter of fact, it is very easy to overcome boredom. When you feel bored, you can involve into something you are interested in. You can do whatever you want to. Do not allow you sit and do nothing. You can only rely on yourself to alleviate boredom. Nobody can help you. Loneliness is another bad state of mood which is different from boredom. People feel lonely when they feel that there is nothing they can do and no one cares about them. You have to start thinking of things you may enjoy doing with others to reduce your feeling of loneliness. Actually, once you get yourself involved with other people, you will not feel lonely. You can make new friends and spend time with them, which is a good way for you to get rid of the loneliness caused by the divorce. You can go shopping, go fishing, watch movies and have dinner together. You will feel lonely just because you close yourself from other people and other things which are not relevant to you. To be happy, enjoy life, and know love, you have to make yourself available to other people.
