Father time takes his toll on every man and woman's body. For women, the evidence of aging shows up in their breasts, which will often start to sag and droop with age. Childbirth is also a common catalyst to breast sagging and drooping. Extreme weight loss is also a precursor to drooping breasts.

When a woman loses her youthful, perky breasts as a result of aging or other factors, should she accept her physical fate? Nope. There are solutions. This article will discuss a few of them.

A temporary lift to your breasts is actually a quick and easy fix. The problems that you may be experiencing with sagging and drooping breasts are quite common. There are a number of products on the market that can instantly lift your breasts. These devices are undergarments and support bras that have been specifically designed to do one thing: reshape your breasts into a more visually appealing look. When you wear these devices under your clothes, your breasts will magically appear firmer and fuller and likewise more youthful.

There is a drawback to the breast lift device. Can you guess what it is? When a woman removes her clothes and the underlying support garment, her breasts droop and sag again! This fact makes many women very self conscious about removing their clothes in front of other women and especially men. While the support devices are a quick and relatively inexpensive fix, their drawback is hard to ignore.

The permanent solution to sagging and drooping breasts is breast lift surgery. This highly evolved surgical procedure will reshape your breasts into a more youthful, attractive appearance. And, it's a permanent solution!

The procedure itself should be performed by a plastic surgeon who is board certified and a certified specialist in breast lift procedures. He or she should have extensive experience in the procedure. He or she should also have a library of "before and after" photographs for you to review.

When a surgeon performs a breast lift, he will excise fat and loose skin from each breast. He may also relocate the areola to a higher position on the breast. The result: a permanent lift to a woman's breast.

It is quite common for women having a breast lift to also have breast implants installed at the same time. Not only does she get a rejuvenating lift to her breasts, but she also increases her size and fullness at the same time.

There are three types of incisions that you can choose from when you have your breast lift. The Benelli cut is an incision that is performed around the areola. The excess skin is removed and the breast is pulled inward, toward the areola, and then sutured. The advantage of the Benelli cut is a scar that is much less visible than the other types of cuts.

If your breasts are sagging a bit more than usual, the Benelli lollipop may be an option. It is virtually the same cut except another incision is also made from the areola to the bottom of the breast.

The third incision is the crescent cut. It is an incision that runs along the line of skin under your breast, making the scars difficult to detect. This type of cut is best for excessive sagging.

If a breast lift sounds like an ideal solution for your sagging breasts, then you should contact a board certified breast lift surgeon and schedule an initial consultation. He or she can inform you of the latest breast lift techniques. Please do not discern this article as medical advice – it is for information purposes only.
