"Find a penny pick it up and all the day you will have good luck!" Is how it all began one night while my wife and I were leaving Borders Books. She said "You are real funny." After a short discussion back and forth I decided to turn it into the theme for the rest of the date. That was until she said, "Will you shut up about that penny! There is no such thing as luck!" Even though I happened to have that same belief I couldn't resist to take this to the next level. She left for work the next day I decided to PROVE to her it was lucky so I did what every loving husband would do. I put it on EBAY and made up a fun story and emailed it to everyone in her work so they could tell how lucky the penny was. LOL
GOAL: Well was to trade or sell the penny until I could get to one of the old square Winnebago and drive on Route 66 to meet Jay Leno and shake his hand. That is just one of my fun things I wanted to do on my Dream List of many things.
Many things have happened since then! To numerous to put in this article. I made it to the Winnebago in 3 Trades! I named her Winnie! I'm a guy we name our vehicles. You can see all current things and get the full story simply by searching for One Lucky Penny. I use video for so many things.
This is where it all turned for me. People from around the world started emailing me their Dreams. Some are funny and some make you want to cry, but all are important. I found that there are many of us that have Dreams, but are afraid to pursue them. WHY? Past failures, Family and friends holding you back, or just life. LIFE is a hard thing at times. So my little journey believe it or not has turned into YOU, you reading this article right now. I'm just a house painter in Kansas. Not rich going about the daily motions. Sure in a few weeks I will be driving Winnie on the trip and fulfilling the adventure. BUT it brings me to the conclusion that we were meant to enjoy this life. Not to just go through the motions everyday. It's an adventure to be lived.
Why is it when you hear someone say they were told they only have 3 months to live, they TRULY start living? Why aren't you and I doing that now? I mean none of us really know if we are going to die today or tomorrow. So my question for you is: "What is it in your heart you were called to do?" It's tough I know. With the world as loud as it is we stopped really listening to our heart. God is a BIG God and we were all made with a purpose and Dreams placed there.

So can a penny be lucky? Don't think so, BUT the opportunity for something so great can start with only one cent.
