Every time when I know a married couple goes through a divorce I feel sad for them. It is destiny that brings 2 strangers together and everyone who walks down the aisle definitely wants to be together forever. But to keep a marriage healthy is not easy. It requires both of you to stay committed and compromise one another...

If you are serious about saving your marriage or relationship or are working together to stop your divorce then a very important first step is to stop playing the blame game. This is probably the single most important piece of advice on relationships I can offer to my clients particularly those surviving an affair. What do I mean by the blame game?

Is all love the same? How do you know if you are in love? As Grandma used to say 'You'll know.' However in Grandma's day sex was for marriage. Not so today. No one argues much about not saving yourself for sex. Men hardly did in Grandma's day. Actually many supported prostitution for men who were a problem when lusting. Only Tarts and Loose Women had intercourse with more than their spouse at marriage. What to do? Does being in love erase the stigma of sex before marriage?

Opening a book is like opening a marriage. You need to read the whole book before deciding what to do. The same can be said for marriages. Too many times couples fight due to the fact that they skim pages and don't finish the book before going on to argue.

There are ways to save a marriage that is headed for divorce. Although it takes effort there are things you can do that will help mend the relationship and keep your family together.

You are not alone if your marriage is going through rough times. In fact the truth is that an estimated 7 out 10 marriages are at risk of falling victim to divorce. Although a lot of marriages are struggling you shouldn't just let your relationship suffer.
