The Chinese conception calendar also know as the Chinese conception chart (and known as many other things as well) was once used for predicting the gender of an unborn baby.
As in many cultures many years ago, the males of the family had it good! If they were the son of a rich family they may have gone to school, otherwise they could work in the fields. Only the males could inherit the family business and preoperties, and pass on the family name. The female gender however were not really quite so lucky. They couldn't inherit businesses or property, and then would have a marriage arranged for them before they went off to bare their own children.
Needless to say, male babies were the more sought after gender.
The Chinese conception calendar was said to have been found inside an ancient burial tomb of some Chinese nobles over 700 years ago.
With the mothers age down the side and the month of conception along the top, it is said that were the two lines meet and cross is where you will; find the gender of the unborn (or yet to be conceived) child!
Can a peice of paper with pretty little pink and blue squares really hold the key to predicting the male/female birth rate?

If chancing your luck with an old chart gives you the shivers, maybe you should try combining it with something a little more scientific although totally natural.
Natural gender selection is a plan of changing little aspects within your life that naturally make your body ready for conception and pregnany. Along with this preparation you also learn timing and positions that can make all the difference to the gender of the baby that you could conceive.
Did you know that it's the sperm that hold the key to your baby's gender and not the egg? Did you know that these X and Y type sperm both have totally different characteristics that once identified can help you to select either a boy or a girl?
<b>So Chinese gender chart or natural gender selection, which one's for you?</b>
Why not combine the two? If you have all boys and would love a girl to plan shopping trips with in the future, or all girls and really need to give your hubby a happy smiley face by telling him you're expecting a boy. Then using both methods could help give you the chance of completing your family with the gender of your choice!
