Why do we always think of quitting smoking as an impossible mission?

Even if it seemed hard, it's pretty clear that smoking cigarettes threatens a huge number of the lives of its smokers by causing a lot of health problems to those people. Some people who try to quit do so by trying to uproot the smoking habit all of a sudden, but this is actually a wrong strategy to quit smoking. This is because Nicotine is addicted when heavily smoked. For this reason, Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) is made to ease the process of quitting smoking. Of course this is not the only way to quit smoking but it's one of the most effective ways to make it yet it has a lot of disadvantages.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy depends on products and medications found in pharmacies, using Nicotine as a main component. If you used to smoke heavily like 10 cigarettes per day, you'll have to take a high dose of the medication which is 21mg, moving to 14mg then a 7mg.

There are many disadvantages of the Nicotine Replacement Test among which are that when you get treated by NRT you're being given nicotine directly to your body, and that affects your health badly.

So, it would be better if you had a chance to uproot Nicotine from your body instead of continuing to use it, may be you could try other strategies that don't rely on Nicotine intake to stop smoking, one of these natural strategies is hypnosis. A number of cigarette smokers tried the hypnosis strategy and it worked, although it wasn't quite a 100% success rate. There have been a lot of disagreements on the effectiveness of using hypnotherapy.

Statistically comparing the previous methods, it was found out that hypnotherapy worked out with about 66% of smokers, whereas a 25% success for NRT. In other reports, they compared between smokers used hypnotherapy or NRT as a treatment, it was shown that people who used hypnotherapy succeeded to be non smokers for the 6 months following the treatment in comparison to those who used NRT as a treatment.

So, when you decide to pick up hypnotherapy as your choice to quit smoking, you have to visit an experienced hypnotherapist, make sure that you trust him and feel comfortable with him, as it doesn't depend only on certifications and theoretical knowledge. For example if your therapist told you that you only need one session to quit smoking, probably this man must be kidding or he's not the one to trust.

Finally when you begin your hypnotherapy, there are three levels of hypnosis...Gentle & moderate levels are used to stop smoking, while the highest level is used by psychiatrists. The process goes like this: You're being hypnotized by a psychiatrist and they will use your unconscious mind to receive some 'recommendations', which will help you to refuse your desire to smoke later on. The idea is that it will make your mind give you orders to lead a healthier life free of Nicotine.
