Using a good facial cleanser cream is the first step towards taking care of your skin. Anti-aging creams and moisturizers will not be effective if you do not cleanse your skin properly.

Why cleansers?

Every day, our skin is exposed to harsh weather and various pollutants that make skin dry. The skin compensates by secreting a lot of sebum. The combination of excess sebum, dirt and grime, and dead skin cells leaves an oily mess on your skin. If this mess persists, the face creams will not be able to penetrate your skin deeply and nourish your skin cells. This is when facial cleansers come in.

Why not soap?

If you are using soap to wash your skin, then you're making a big mistake. Soap dries the skin. If your skin becomes too dry, it becomes flaky, itchy, and dull. It also develops cracks can be used by harmful bacteria to enter and cause infections. Cleansers, unlike soap, cleanse your skin gently without removing the essential moisture.

What kind of cleansers?

Most cleansers these days contain synthetic chemicals that can be very harmful to your skin. So, it's advisable to go for organic products which are free of such harmful chemicals. Be sure to look for products that are made of natural substances good skin cleansing abilities without making it too dry.

What are these substances?

Kaolin, a natural substance known for its cleansing properties, is extracted from a special type of clay found in New Zealand. Aside from cleansing it does wonders to the skin like improving circulation, healing inflammations, blemishes, and acne. Make sure you choose facial cleansers that contain Kaolin. Some other ingredients you should look for include cynergy TK, shea butter, active manuka honey, and macadamia oil. These substances cleanse your skin, rejuvenate your skin cells, reverse the aging process, and make your skin look softer and younger.

Should they be used regularly?

A cleansing mask, just like any other skin care product, should be used regularly but not on a daily basis. Apply the cleansing mask to your face twice a month is the most advisable. You can apply the facial cleanser cream to your skin, leave it for about half an hour, and then wash it off. You can also use a good moisturizer every other week to have a balancing effect.
