A snake tends to be a rather jealous and possessive lover because of his deep-seated insecurities. He often ends up alienating his partner through his over possessive antics. He often becomes overbearing in his attempt to hold on to his mate. He might take recourse to extreme behavior such as hurting his partner if he feels the latter is trying to desert him or not allowing his mate to step out of home!

A snake, despite these deplorable qualities, is irresistibly charming, seductive, enchanting and a loving and generous spouse. He is fascinating and appealing but slightly dangerous. It is better to be cautious when entering into marriage with a snake for he is unpredictable. A snake, however, is predisposed towards having strong ties with his family and he is therefore a reliable partner.

What Do They Expect From Their Partners?

A snake's jealous and extreme behavior is contrary to what he really needs and that is peace. He wants to live in a peaceful atmosphere and it is up to his partner to provide him with that.

His jealousy stems from his insecurity and lack of self confidence and he requires constant assurance from his partner. A bit of patience and understanding will go a long way in making the union strong and durable.

Compatibility with Various Signs

A rooster or a monkey or a snake or an ox is a perfect and ideal match for a snake because of their similar tastes and mutual understanding. If they can iron out their differences, they will be on a roll and marriage is certainly recommended. A pig and a snake have opposite tastes but they will be compatible if they put in some effort. Since the dog and the snake form an opposite union, they have to work hard to make the relationship a success.

Seriousness is the keyword here. But their smart and ambitious natures will gel well. Whereas a snake and rooster union will be perfectly fruitful, snake and monkey need to clear up a few misunderstandings. An ox is a dependable partner for snake but ox has to maintain a high level of tolerance.

A ram gets easily frustrated by the snake's intellectual side and both will require outside help to keep the relation going. A horse is too passionate and hyper to be a suitable partner for a snake. A dragon and a snake are made for each other and share a passionate relation. A rat is compatible with a snake for they have many things in common.

They both seek power and success. The snake is smart while the rat has an imaginative trait. If they can overcome communication gap and sail through the ups and downs in life, a rabbit and snake can form an average pair. A tiger and a snake can make a successful union if they put in a lot of effort and try to understand each other for a snake is detached and cool, while a tiger is outgoing.
