Acne is not a dangerous virus, it can't kill you. What acne can do is affect your life and confidence. Many people do not have any sort of self-esteem because the acne makes them feel bad. When I had acne I always tried to wear my hood up because I didn't like the way I looked. It might even be worse for teenagers because at that time in our lives we become so self conscious of our image.

What's causing our acne

Sometimes acne can just be genetic. If your father/mother had acne, then it's possible that you will also get acne.

Hormones can also be a factor to why acne is showing up. If there is an imbalance in the hormones and a lot of sebums are being produced acne is bound to happen. The sebum tries to escape from your body through your skin but it can't, so it leaves craters in your skin which are called acne.

Eating too much oily foods is not good for the skin and it can cause bad acne. That's why it's best to stay away from all the Burger-kings, pop-eyes and McDonald's for a little while.

Stress can increase the acne levels in your skin. When you get stressed you release chemicals inside your body what makes the acne spread to different places in your body.

How do you get rid of acne

If you want to get rid of acne fix your diet, drink water and use natural facial mask. Cut out every single oily, fatty foods from your diet. Try drinking at least 8 cups of water a day because this helps the skin preventing the acne from other parts of the body. You can use mint juice, toothpaste, honey to rub on the pimple because all of these things work very well at reducing the swelling. All of these thing are great natural acne treatments.
