Spring is a excellent time of year for decluttering your space! Is it possible that you may have a space which is chock full of clutter? Is it a space or room that you hate to even enter? Perhaps that is your dedicated junk room and you literally keep the door shut. Perhaps it is your garage. Perhaps it is your bedroom and you are drowning in clutter almost all the time.

Clutter can place you in a negative mood, but an organized space will make your energy soar. Occasionally the mess can be so awful that you have to attack it by taking one area at a time. You take simply one component of the mess and work on that, so you can see improvement, instead of getting overwhelmed. Here are some tips to start with:

Begin with your clothing.

Assume it is your bed room that is a problem. You need your clothing and if your clothes are in order, not only will you really feel much better, your wardrobe will seem to have tripled. As soon as you deal with the clothes, you will have considerably reduced the clutter in the room.

Clothes in this situation consist of anything made of fabric, such as bath towels, bedding, table linens, draperies, and so forth. As you can see, working with the clothes can turn into a huge job. But if you just focus on the fabrics for right now, it does make your decluttering job simpler.

So today, in your junk room, wherever that is, disregard every thing else other than the clothing! Look at every item to see what it requires washing, dry cleaning, ironing, or just hanging up or putting away. Not enough places to put clothing away? Then choose to get rid of some, or get a double-hanger for your closet. If you get rid of as much as you can, you will have simplified your life.

If you are preoccupied today, then give this job what ever time you have. You will see improvement. Commit to 10 minutes per day to deal with clothes until it becomes a routine. You will feel so proud of your closets - in no time!
