"Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."- Winston Churchill So many times I hear people speak of destiny as if it is something that is owed to them; something that all they must do is show up in order to attain. Well you know what? That is a poverty mentality, and nothing could be farther from the truth. At the same time, I don't completely blame most people for seeing it that way. Often times in popular culture, marketing messages that are fed to the public are done so for the specific purpose of giving them a false sense of hope. This same false sense of hope works to keep people in "dream mode" without necessarily taking much action to achieve those dreams. It places you into a stupor that most often will make you feel like you just aren't enough; not successful enough; not rich enough; not talented enough; not beautiful enough; not cool enough, and so on. Having chronic feelings of inadequacy plays a big role in making us all be willing to spend as much money as we can budget spending on things to make us feel like we ARE enough. And tied up in all of this is the notion of a pre-determined destiny that you must only "believe in" to make happen. I do believe that everyone has a pre-determined purpose and destiny that is uniquely their own, however, it is not just waiting for you. You must CLAIM it. So continue to work hard and diligently toward you goals so that you can ACHIEVE the point where you can proudly say that you have indeed claimed your unique destiny that no one else besides you could ever lay claim to.
