We live in a stressful society. If you are seeking ways to de-stress, you aren't alone. Stress is not something that goes away overnight usually, but there are some things you can do to reduce stress today.

So what can you do? Short of finding the perfect mate or winning the lottery, a solution to stress may take some time. Here are 3 things you don't realize are causing stress, that you can easily fix in a day or two.

1. Credit Card Consolidation
Who isn't guilty of buying something you shouldn't have or deferred a payment buy using a credit card? Unfortunately, it is very easy to fall into that trap and get way behind on ones bills. You will reduce your stress by consolidating all your credit card debt onto one card. Though the amount of debt is still the same, having a single focal point of credit will instantly make you feel better. We all stress more when we feel attacked from many directions. Now you only have to deal with one.

2. Exercise the Lazy Way
If you are out of shape like most people, rigorous exercise combined with stress can cause a heart attack. That is not what I am endorsing here. Stress does take a toll on health, so you want to increase your fitness over time. Make your exercise something fun and easy. Whatever sport you like, make the effort to do a few minutes of it a day. Kick a ball around. Walk around the block at sunset. Ride a bike. You get the picture. You don't have to train for a marathon. If it is fun and easy, you will tend to do it and it will help your stress.

3. Hygiene Awareness
You would really be surprised to realize how much stress can be attributed to hygiene concerns. Have you ever run into someone unexpectedly and worried about how you may smell? Sure you have. We all do. Because sometimes one can get slack in hygienic preparation every single day. You interact with people every day, and may not even realize it is that often. Be it a spouse, friend or customer, you may think you don't care but subconsciously you do. Make personal cleanliness an uncompromising part of your daily routine, and you will never have to stress over this again.

Stress and the anxiety it causes, can be eliminated with the right solution. But until you fix the main cause of your stress, these 3 simple de-stress tips will really take the edge off. Start today so you can relax some tomorrow.
