There are many different types of warts that can affect different people at different times. One of the most popular types are hand warts. Hand warts are caused by the spread of the HPV virus. This type of wart will usually appear in small clusters that will match the color of the skin or will be white or red in color.
There are two known strains of hand warts - flat and common. Flat warts are true to their name and are completely flat and can be found in clusters on someone’s hands. They are quite small. Hand warts can be hard to live with - which is why many doctors have created treatments to help remove them.
The Do Nothing At All Treatment
There are many different options that you can use to remove these warts. One of the first things that some people think about is to leave it alone and let it fall off on its own and in its own time. This is actually not a bad idea though many people try to find another way around it. Doing nothing to it is usually used for young children because different wart treatments can be painful to them and uncomfortable.
It is true that certain warts will be able to last for years - but this is also uncommon. In most cases the children’s body will recognize the signs that the wart is there and will work to fight it off. Usually within a month the wart will begin to disappear without the help of any treatment. By the second year two thirds of it will be gone. The best part about letting your body do all the work is that you will have no scarring when it is over. Over The Counter Treatment
Those people who are not patient enough to wait for their bodies’ to deal with it will often turn to over the counter wart removers. There are many ointments and bandages that will get the job done. It is best to search for removers that are organic and will use oils from plants to help remove it. Most of the time when you use these treatments the wart will begin to disappear within 2 to 6 weeks of treatment.
Freezing Treatment
If you feel that you should take drastic matters then you can always freeze it out. Ask your doctor to freeze the warts with liquid nitrogen. When this happens a blister will start to form and will push the wart off the skin.
Laser Treatment
Using lasers to fix blemishes and certain medical problems is becoming more wide spread and can even be used in this case. During this treatment the laser will burn the blood vessels in the wart. This will kill the wart and cause it to fall off. This type of treatment is actually not as popular as most treatments. It is expensive and most people would rather not use a laser to get the job done. Duct Tape Treatment
You heard right! One of the most simplest methods to removing wart is to use duct tape. It’s safe, easy, and inexpensive. All you have to do is purchase the duct tape, cut a piece that is the same size as the wart, and place it over the wart. Leave it on for a total of six days before you remove it during the evening hours.
After you have taken the tape off soak your hand in warm water and rub the wart with an emory board. Be gentle as it is bound to be a little sensitive. When you are finished don’t put the tape back on. You will put on another piece of tape the next morning for another six days.
You will continue to do this for 2 months. However, is you notice that your skin is becoming soggy and red then stop using the tap for at least three days. Natural Wart Treatment
When all else fails or you are scared to try the other treatments you can always turn to the all natural treatments . While these are treatments that certain people have recommended please remember that they have not been proven to work.
- Rub the wart with a raw potato every day. - Pour radish juice on the wart. - Tape the inner side of a broad bean pod over the wart. - Combine castor oil with baking soda to make a paste. Put the paste on the wart twice a day. - Pour dandelion sap on the wart. - Rub raw meat on the wart. Bury the meat in the garden and as it rots the wart will slowly drop off.
