Differin
Differin is a form of medication used to treat acne. Differin has been proved to be an effective product to cure acne. One of the researches done by Stiefel Laboratory has shown that there is Absolute change from baseline of inflammatory lesion counts at week two. Furthermore, Differin contains an active ingredient called Adapelene, which is a chemically stable compound. This compound is able to affect the cellular differentiation and inflammatory process in the skin populated with acne, and hence has the ability to treats acne successfully. Before you use Differin, please take a look at the guidelines below.
Precaution when using Differin.
Consult your Doctor if you are:
- Allergies to a drug containing Adapelene
- Pregnant
- Nursing
- Consuming Other medicines- There might be a complication if you mix Differin with other medicine
- Suffering from other health problems- Consult your Doctor if you suffer from skin conditions, such as eczema.
- Suffering from Sun burnt.
Dosage and administration.
A thin film of Differin can be applied once a day to the affected skins. Please make sure that you wash your face thoroughly before Differin is being applied. You might feel that the acne actually got worst with reddening in your face. But this is the normal action of the medication on previously unseen lesions; this will be gone within weeks. Therapeutic effect will appear significantly after nine to twelve weeks of treatment.
Side Effects of Differin.
During clinical trial, dryness and burning sensation in the skin occurred in 10% of the patients. This is most commonly seen during the first month of the therapy. If the condition got worst, consult your Doctor immediately.
