Quitting Smoking has always been an issue that worries a huge number of its people since it seems like a huge task to accomplish. A smoker not only has to fight the physical addiction, but also the oral addiction. But the problem for some smokers is that they are not thinking of the quitting matter at all, they're just living the moment as it is without looking forward, probably these people are the ones who fail to the risks that threaten every smoker's health.

Just by reading this article you're moving forward... You just proved that you care about the quitting smoking matter, so read the following few lines that presents to you some tips on how to quit smoking.

You have to realize an important fact that even when you quit, you're still an addict to smoking; this will help you to feel normal at least at the beginning. Start planning for your quitting event, for example don't make this decision on a day that you know you're going to a party on, and you know there's going to be a lot of smoker friends out there, and you may not be able to bear it. Plan for this day and get rid of all your smoking stuff so you might have to exert more effort to get a cigarette if you felt you need it badly, for example to get a cigarette, you'll need to get dressed and go to the nearest market to buy cigarettes, that kind of torture makes you think twice before reverting to smoke.

Once you realized that you may yearn to the smoking habit at any moment, you have to plan for it too... Buy some chewing gums, candies or your favorite drink and keep them near you so when you feel you need to smoke badly you can use these replacements to occupy the cigarettes place; sugar free products will be great in order not to gain weight.

Another cool idea that helped a lot of smokers is replacing all the cigarette boxes, ashtrays and lighters you have in your house or office with boxes of chewing gums or candies, so when you seek smoking, you'll find these gums or candies and pick one.

To make sure of getting enough support, tell people who care about you that you're quitting smoking, this is more helpful than you can think, they'll help you by not smoking around, and may be they'll get tempted to support your cause and quit too.
