<!-- @page { margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } --> Smoking is actually one of the worst habits one could ever have, especially when the one we're talking about is a woman. Did you know that around 33% of pregnant women are smokers? That percentage is a little bit nagging, as we're now talking about not only a mother's health but also the baby she's carrying, and we all know about the hazards of nicotine on a baby's life, as it causes retarding fetal grown, sometimes the pregnancy might turn out to be unsuccessful, spontaneous miscarriages, stillbirths and death of the infant during its first month of life. Well, all the hazards mentioned above were not meant to terrify you. To be honest, the only problem that most of the babies of smoking mothers have is that they weigh less than the normal average, but still any of the above hazards could happen, so why don't women just give up smoking and rescue their babies from all these risks that threaten their health. Thinking more forward, when women got their babies born, the dangers threatening their health are still there, beginning with the problem of the existence of cigarettes and matches in the house, because these stuff are very dangerous on a child's life if they're reachable. On the other side, children seeing their parents smoking at home make them feel comfortable with the smoking habit, giving them a higher chance to be smokers, as shown by some statistics that 11.9% of girls in the 12 to 18 age bracket were smokers. This is really an alarming percentage because it's harder for women to give up smoking than men do. Another part of the problem is that the effect of smoking on one's health does not appear in days or in weeks, but it badly affects your health slowly, so women should never believe any of what is being said in advertisements that they have an immunity against these hazard, because Moth Cancer, Bronchitis, Emphysema and heart diseases have increased in female smokers in recent years. Smoker women are more threatened to have lung cancer six times more than in men. But still it's very dangerous on men's life.
