If you're a man that has been confronted by a wife that says she wants a divorce, and you don't really want a divorce then it's time to take charge and "Man up". As long as one of you has not committed the worst offense, which is adultery, then you should be able to save the marriage. If one of you has cheated, whether or not you're in love with someone else, it's over, things can never be the same.

If irreconcilable differences or money problems are the issues that seem to be at the root of your problems, then you should be able to salvage the marriage. As the man, you'll need to take a couple of steps back. swallow your pride, and shut your mouth. Then sit down, by yourself, and write down a list of all of the things that are causing you to be threatened with divorce. Analyze yourself, and figure out just exactly what it is that is making her want to leave. Are you spending too much time with the guys? Are you spending too much money on toys? Are you staying out late, making her think you're screwing around? Are you not doing your manly duties? Are you not taking care of things around around the home or "Your half"?Are you avoiding the sexual and sensual maintenance that all women need? Are you a hot head and react to everything by yelling and screaming and calling her names? Are you drinking or taking drugs and it causes you to act irrational and crazy? Have you hit her?

If you are guilty of one or more of those offenses, then you should be able to figure out what the root cause or reason why she wants a divorce. If you really love her, and you don't want a divorce, then you'll make the necessary changes that will keep the marriage together. Now you need to sit her down for a little discussion. If you're a hot head, now is the time to prove you can change. Calmly talk to her with a slightly higher pitch in your voice. Tell her how much you love her and how you'll go about making the changes that will turn things around. Write these things down like a contract, and swear you'll make changes by signing off on them. Then start showing her some love, and have some healthy conversations with her, and let her do most of the talking.

If you really love your wife, and do not want to go through a divorce, be a man, wise up and start thinking before you speak. Divorces can be expensive and inconvenient for everyone. If you have kids, then there is always the child support issue. Not to mention any alimony.

Don't become another statistic. Grab a good guide book or manual on saving your marriage. There are a few real good ones out there, and you can draw some more good ideas from there. Anything to help, and if it ends up being something you read in a book that saves your marriage, then it was money well spent!
