In the first earlier described the importance of self-esteem to carry out projects, signaling how important daily exercise of self-knowledge, so that our perceptions about our limits and limitations are true, not too exaggeratedly optimistic nor pessimistic.

At the beginning of the year is routine outline our plans and idealizations, walking at a pace slightly slower and projecting the beginning of the year for earnest after the Carnival festivities. However, it is important to get used to this first phase of the year to take a critical thinking and we trace routes and paths based on our limits so forth do not fall into the error of turning them into limitations.

I remember hearing a speaker say that "confuse boundaries and limitations is a real trap for our personal and professional development." And indeed, if we do not have in mind that the limit is the representation of a peak which we can achieve, and that this point is based on our current efforts, we run the risk of crystallizing a potential that is in continuous process development.

For example, the current limit of my race in the park is 3 km per day, so why make a training program with the goal of having a better quality of life, but this causes an obvious limitation: it can not run the marathon in San Silvestre. A friend of mine, by contrast, runs 15 km every day, because the training program aims to give him his participation in several marathons throughout Brazil. If I had the same goal, re-evaluate my program under my goal, and so would increasing the daily limit of my race.

In the routine of a company or an office, we run the danger of feeling that twinge of jealousy by our colleague who stood out or else, being victims of colleagues who feel wronged in the face of praise from the boss or promotion.

This happens in all business environments and even in family comparisons, because it is very common to have confusion efficiency versus be effective precisely because of the perception of personal limits and constraints experienced.

It is important to bear in mind that efficiency is a process, is committed to making quality, competence, and perfectionism requirement, ie having efficiency is to be knowledgeable of personal boundaries and materials, which they have on hand, and work by means resources offered within this limit.

Many professionals stand out and there are those who are known as good people. What is the difference between them? The good professional is one who works efficiently, know your limit and only works on top of what they know or have available, or is a person who works with your limitations, because the limitation is a limit crystallized a limit considered definitive and that, in a distorted manner, it affects not only the professional field as all the others.

Good people possibly have words in their social environment and family that "I do not believe these findings, it is better to stay in the rice and beans," "human beings existed for millions of years and will always behave the same way" or "no good talk to my boss, you know, I know he does not think like me and will not even hear my opinion. "

The professional focus is one that works efficiently, but also is effective, ie, its result is profit, professional quality shows and its return as the satisfaction excellence by management. But this is only possible because it does not work with its limitations, but recognizes its limits and tries to overcome it, expanding their knowledge, studying and seeking knowledge than he, through technical courses, enhancement, and MBA programs graduate (and stritu sensus latus sensus).

So keep in mind that there are only concrete limitations when we try all the ways that we could walk to overcome our limitations and when found, do not allow them to generalize and to exert control over other areas of your life.

We all have boundaries and limitations, but our challenge is to develop a positive attitude before them. Remember that great men and women were people with enormous difficulties (did you know that former U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt contracted polio at age 39 and used a wheelchair?), However, turned in more than a threshold limit to be overcome , so do not forget: do not turn out in limitation.
