So do you really want to give up smoking cigarettes completely? I understand what your situation is because I gave up twice before and came back with stronger addiction. This means that I consumed half a pack before I tried to quit and nearly one pack after the try. In order to find out the answer to the question above, we need to find out what stops us from quitting smoking. To do that, we also need to find out what caused us to smoke the first cigarette of our lives.

Influence coming from the colleagues or close friends is one of the direct reasons. As I recall, I was working on a building site that was located in the rural area and far from populated regions. Everyone was taking a cigarette between their lips. So was I. I often imagined if only I had not lighted my first one. However, regretting can do nothing good from us because I normally find my hand is reaching to the pocket for a lighter at this moment.

This leads us to the second reason why we lighted our first cigarette - issues happening in our lives. When we are struck by big problems that we can not react to calmly, we tend to turn to the cigarette in order to calm down. That plays a role that is similar to alcohol. Socializing with people is nothing to blame on. Everyone needs friends. And big things might happen to anyone, too. But there are better ways to address those things more effectively than inhaling smoke from burnt tobacco leaves into your lung.
