The thinking that diet does not affect acne is a falsehood perpetuated by that part of the medical industry that is trying to protect their livelihood of dispensing drugs. The AMA has established that the only way to deal with acne is through the use of medication. They say there is no evidence to support the idea that diet causes acne.

By the time you develop acne, your whole body chemistry is out of balance causing bacteria to multiple in the sacks of excess sebum which resulted from unbalanced hormones. All this is as a result of eating junk and processed foods. Do think that teenagers are eating a healthy diet?

Then again, are there excess bacteria in your hair follicles because your body balances on the acid side rather than in the alkaline side? When your body has excess acid, bacteria and other pathogens can multiple throughout your body. If you have a toxic colon, which has not been cleaned out regularly, you may have excess toxin trying to get out of your body and travel to your follicles and out your skin as an escape route

Annemarie Colbin, points out, in her book, Food And Healing, 1986,

"In my experience, diet has everything to do with acne. Not only did I fix my own bad skin through correct eating but I have seen among my students a number of severe cases - the large purplish kind of acne on cheeks and chins - completely cured within three months by a change of diet."

Here is a quick list of acne foods or habits to avoid. They interrupt your hormonal and chemical balance causing you to have diseases. In addition, they deplete your mineral and vitamin stores.

Smoking
Drinking alcohol
Drinking coffee
Eating sugar

You don't need to stop eating these foods instantly. Not many people can do this. You need to do this gradually. I know it will be hard to stop eating some of these foods that you have enjoyed, over the years, but you have to ask yourself the question,

"Which do I want to be …Acne free or a junk food acne faced addict?"

The choice is yours and I know you will make the right decision.

Now here is the rest of the list of acne foods you need to avoid, so do it gradually.

" White Bread - This is junk food and is hard to digest and causes constipation
" Chocolate - some chocolates are better than others. Those that have saturated fats such milk, butter and sugars are not good for your skin.
" Saturated Fried Fatty foods - fried foods, butter, chesses, beef, chicken with skin
" Foods in packages - All foods in packages or boxes are junk food. They take from you because they use up minerals, vitamins, and digestive enzymes.
" Foods with artificial flavors and preservatives - These are non-foods that are super toxic and your body stores them as fat.
" Milk, ice cream, hard chesses - these foods cause allergies and cause mucus to form. If you cannot digest dairy products, this can cause you to have acne.
" Sodas are the worst drink you can take. They contain plenty of sugar and phosphoric acid.
" Sugar is considered a white poison, since it creates so many health problems
" Salt - avoid salt only because it has iodine. Iodine has been shown to cause acne.
" Excess Vitamin B12 - can aggravate or produce acne.

There you have it. It takes a lot of will power and desire to change your diet. Your body is composed of what you eat. If you eat more raw food, you will have less facial blemishes. It can be done but do it slowly. Start changing your diet and see where you're at in 6 months.
