Don't Quit! You Can Make Money Online!

Let me ask you a question. If you hopped in your car on a Friday night to go to a party where all the hot women (or guys, depending on whose reading this) are going to be, would you turn around and go home if you hit a red light? Of course not! If a road was closed for construction, would you go home, or find another route?

So why do so many people quit their dream of having a successful online business simply because they hit a ‘detour' along the way? Maybe you tried article marketing and saw no results, or your first PPC campaign was like flushing cash down the toilet. The truth is, if I handed you a M-60 machine gun and sent you off to battle without teaching you how to use the weapon, your chances of survival would be slim to none.

Likewise, if I convinced you that my article marketing method would bring you massive traffic and you purchased it, but neglected to teach you how to use it, I would be setting you up for frustration and failure.

The bottom line is simply this, you have the weapons to succeed, you just may lack the proper application skills for the weapon (or in this case a marketing strategy) to succeed.

No Marketing Strategy, No Matter How Good You Are, Will Work Without Massive Action!

Have you ever made a New Year's resolution? How long did you stick with it? Stats show that gym memberships skyrocket at the beginning of each year because of these resolutions. Three months later, a huge percentage of those new gym rats quit. Here are a few of the most popular reasons.

1) "I don't have time"

2) "I'm too tired"

3) "I'm not that fat"

To sum it all up, they haven't experienced enough ‘pain' yet to stay committed. What? That's right, people make changes to avoid pain. The problem is, once the ‘pain' of having to wake up early to go to the gym exceeds the ‘pain' of being overweight, bye bye gym!

In online marketing, the pain of working hard on writing articles with no results, or spending money on PPC without at least making it back, causes us enough pain to quit.

Here is how I stay committed to an action plan. I write down the goal I want to achieve, which happens to be becoming financially free. I also write down at least ten negative results that will happen if don't accomplish my goal. These have to be gut wrenching, and specific. Saying that you don't want to disappoint your children is not good enough.

Instead say this… "I never want my kids to hear their mother and father argue about how much is spent at the grocery store because we can't afford to spend more than the $100 weekly budget."

That is specific. These negative associations are huge! You must tie enough negative emotion to these possible results of failing so that you CAN'T quit!

Let me get Biblical on your ass for a second.

Philippians 2, 3:4 "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vein conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests if others."

Basically what that means is, give without want. If you help others to get what they need, you will be given what you need. There is no better proof than finding it in the Bible. It stands the test of time.

The first thing you will do once you understand how to use your marketing strategy of choice is give. Give in the form of reports, articles, video or whatever. You must provide valuable content that enables others to progress. Oh, and one other thing, the content doesn't have to be yours. It can be your take on someone else's idea.

Learn to be a ‘reporter'. All you need to do is repurpose good information in a different format. Ever heard of PLR?

I started to write this article about two hours ago, but I got sidetracked. I am cooking a pork roast and just happen to be watching the Biggest Loser finale from the kitchen when two things struck me.

First, what an amazing display of commitment! Some of these people were literally in danger of dying from a stroke or heart attack. The winner Mike started at 526 lbs! He lost over 50% of his body weight! Can you imagine how high his self esteem is now? This guy knows he can do anything he puts his mind to!

The other thing that struck me is that there are millions of people watching this show and getting that warm and fuzzy feeling watching these people achieving almost unimaginable goals, and changing their lives, but they still won't make a commitment of their own, whether it's weight loss or becoming financially free.

Why not? Unfortunately it's because the ‘pain' of making a commitment is more than their current situation. They are too comfortable.

"The hell with that" I say! You don't need to have your house in foreclosure to become financially free. Commit to becoming financially free because it will free you up to do the things you are currently missing out on. Eat lunch with your daughter in kindergarten. Attend all your son's baseball games. You can never get those things back! Get off your ass and commit to something!

My favorite motivational quote is, "the weight of discipline weighs but an ounce, the weight of regret weighs a ton." My biggest ‘fear' or ‘pain' would be my doctor telling me I have six months to live, and I haven't achieved the financial freedom for my family. I can't fail! I will not leave this earth with the regret of knowing I had hundreds of chances to start, but chose to watch TV, or some mundane time wasting task.

I also made a personal promise to God that I would be a great steward of the blessings he has given me, and that I will give generously of my time and money because much is expected from those with more.

If you have found this article helpful or even inspiring, please go to my blog at and type in ‘I can't quit!' in the comments. Then tell everyone what you are committing to.

Yours in Success,

Benjamin Bradley
