If you've been thinking about getting the stop smoking help you need to finally quit smoking, there is no better time to give it a try. The research against smoking mounts every year and I'm sure you've heard enough smoking facts and statistics now to convince you to give it a try... if only you had a clear methodology to follow to help you quit smoking once and for all. Well, different people try different approaches of, course. - There's the cold turkey method - withdrawal symptoms and all - that works well for some people.
- There's the idea of weaning yourself off slowly - but that can just extend the discomfort - it's kind of like being on a diet where you feel like you just never have quite enough to satisfy you.
- Then there's all the various quit smoking aids - nicotine gum, nicotine patches, even prescription medications. But these can be expensive and have side effects of their own.
- Stop smoking hypnosis is something that sounds a little woo-woo to some people and they won't even try it. But I recently read a study saying out of 5,000 people who tried a NLP/hypnosis program to stop smoking that 97.2% where able to quit. I'm sure that's a lot better than most of the stats for smoking cessation programs out there.
If you're ready to give up smoking now, there's certainly a lot of good information out there for you to try. The bottom line is that you've got to choose a method, set a goal, and stick with it.
