At some point in their live everyone has dealt with at least one bout of insomnia. Our fast-paced always-on-the-go lifestyles eventually take their toll on our bodies and the first place it manifests is in our sleep patterns. Changing a job, jet lag from traveling, moving house, the birth of a new child or the death of a loved one are all normal stress factors that everyone has to deal with from time to time. The problem with stress is that it raises adrenaline levels and affects our sleep cycles. Nothing will cause you to loose sleep faster than stress and worry. We have all been there, and we know the effect of insomnia can be strong.

While those things in our life that cause stress are usually temporary and are always changing there are other factors that we don't think about that affect our sleep patterns. That bright street light that shines in the bedroom window at night or the noise from the neighbors TV if you live in an apartment are just a couple of environmental factors that we may not consider when trying to figure out why we aren't sleeping. After living in the same spot for months or years, you may think you are used to these things, but the mechanisms in the body that control sleep say otherwise.

Many people also don't consider that their lifestyle is the issue. Erratic shifts at work, caffeine or nicotine before bed or leading a sedentary lifestyle can all cause sleep problems. Stimulants found in common medications that people take every day from over the counter cold medications to prescription asthma medications also cause sleep disturbances.

Every one of those things listed above we have some control over, but what about those that we don't? The list of medical conditions that cause insomnia is long. Where my book will help you combat insomnia without the use of sleeping pills or other drugs, you should always make sure that there is not an underlying condition that is exacerbating the issue. Depression is one of the leading causes of insomnia, and as a catch-22, insomnia is one of the leading causes of depression. If you suspect that you have any psychiatric disorder such as depression, anxiety, or post traumatic stress, please see your doctor. Other medical conditions that can insomnia include allergies, PMS, asthma, hyperthyroidism, heart disease and sleep apnea (where you actually stop breathing during at night while sleeping. This can be so severe that it can cause other medical conditions).

If you want to battle the effect of insomnia, you need to find a cure that does not involve drugs. Sleeping pills are tempting because they are a quick fix, but that is all they are. They actually do not give you any real rest, and they can be addictive.

In order to battle the effect of insomnia , you need to find a natural cure. Imagine how much better you will feel when you get more sleep. You can kiss those sleepless nights goodbye when you click here .
