Effexor is an antidepressant, first introduced by Wyeth in the year 1999. As per the 2004 customer reports, it was ranked by the customers as one of the most effective anti depressant among the six anti depressant that they studied. It is helping many people since depression has become a common problem of today's generation, which commonly accompany the youth as they lack confidence and motivation. It effectively works by increasing both serotonin and nor epinephrine levels in the brain by inhibiting serotonin and nor epinephrine reuptake. Effexor is found very useful for patients who were unable to be cured by other anti depressant medicine. Doctors have also switched patients to effexor, who were not cured by other anti depressant medication. This medication is also known to cause weight loss, but it should not be recommended just for loosing weight. It is ideally suited in the treatment of depression and patient suffering from this can efficiently buy effexor and use it.

Effexor like other antidepressant carries few side effects and the most common side effects found are insomnia, dry mouth, constipation and dizziness. If these side effects continue, one should consult doctor and get it clear within a month. With high motivating properties found in effexor, it may exacerbate suicidal feelings, so it is important that one should be monitored for such thoughts and behaviour at this time.

Effexor shares withdrawal risks like other antidepressant have so this medication should not be suddenly discontinued. Sudden discontinue of the medicine can cause problems like brain zaps or brain shivers. Brain zaps or brain shivers gives a sensation experience of electric shocks running through the body. So it should be stopped as directed by the physicians. A competent doctor should taper one's dose so that he gradually comes off it, when he no longer needs to take it.

Effexor have been found more effective for the treatment of depression in adults. In the studies carried out people taking effexor had more improvement in their depression symptoms than people taking any other anti depressants. Also, long-term studies showed that effexor is also effective for preventing depression relapse. Effexor generally comes in tablet form and it should be taken twice or thrice in a day. It is recommended to be taken with food and it should be taken at the same time each day so that an even level of drug is maintained in the body. This medicine should be taken as directed by the physician to have better and efficient results.
